NOTE: ALL CLASSES REQUIRE a TRAVEL DRIVE drive to store your photos, graphics and websites. Some computers do not have writable CD/DVD players. You will not be able to participate in class properly without at storage device. 2 GB All classes are based on IBM compatible systems.

Video classes will require a hard drive with 800 firewire and 7200 rpm and a minimum of 250 gigabyte capacity.

All students should have a basic understanding of:

1. How to use a mouse (includes how to highlight)

2. How to use a travel drive (also called a jump drive or flash drive)

3. How to work with files and folders on a computer

If you do not understand these basics of computer use, please go to the linked tutorials and familiarize yourself with these procedures by left clicking your mouse button on the blue words in this section.

FREE PROGRAMS:

For those students who don't own programs to do work after our classes have ended, here are some suggestions for FREE programs you can download. Often, free programs will be a little less organized than commercial programs, but many times, they are great. Find these programs by clicking free downloads at the top of this page. (Disclaimer: Load these programs at your own risk. I have not had any problems on my systems, however I won't take responsibility for what happens when they are loaded on computers other than my own.)
