Dreamweaver MX Importing an Existing Site |

| Step 1: Create a local folder for existing site. | ||

||
|
Open Windows Explorer. |
 |
|
|
|
||
|
Highlight the hard drive (C:) as indicated. |
 |
|
|
|
||
|
Click on File, Click on New, and Click on Folder. |
 |
|
|
|
||
| Highlight the "New Folder" |  |
|
|
|
||
| Right click on "New Folder" and press Rename. |  |
|
|
|
||
|
Type in "~mywebsite" and use your delete button to delete "new folder." Click on white space to end your editing. |

|
|
||
|
Open Dreamweaver |
||
 |
||
|
|
||
|
Enter your site information as shown and press OK. |
 |
|
|
|
||
|
Your folder will appear in the site panel to the left of the screen. |
 |
|
|
Click on Connect |
 |
|
 |
||
|
You may get this message. Press Yes |
 |
|
 |
